Sillalai is a village often called “Little Rome”.
The people of Sillalai have a rich tradition,
Tamil literature, art, music, dance and culture.
We also hope this platform will serve as the medium to
encourage people from around the world about the rich
traditions Sillalai contains and what it stands for in our hearts.
It is surrounded by the villages Mathagal, Pandattarippu and Chulipuram
and is blessed by an abundance of natural vegetation.
Coconut and palmyra groves, fertile paddy fields, jack, areca nut,
mango and a variety of fruit trees make it a garden of Eden.
Vegetables, onion and chilli plantations add to its richness.
Our hopes with this site are to create a social network for
all the Sillalaians all around the globe,
who are longing to know any form of information,
about their village. And with that we hope to provide
